Copying
got 12/35 for physics test. i know, i know i failed again. i seemed to be falling into a vicious cyle. -.-"
but that's not the important thing.
or rather, that's a part of the important thing.
important thing is, i got 52.7 (gpa 2.0) for physics this semester.
and big part of this is because i failed all my quizzes (or maybe almost all).
i dare say that if i had past my quizzes, i would be at least a grade up.
and why did i pass my quizzes?
i have decided to be honest this semester and not copy the physics quizzes.
the results are there to see.
my point is, is copying becoming a necessity, important to get good grades (or, survival for some people)?
during the sec 1 and 2 years before RP was implemented, we could slack off the whole year, then piah and mug like hell for end of year exams cuz the weightage is 100%.
tests and quizzes were not counted and we could afford to flung them as badly as we like.
it is a known fact that many people do not pay full attention in class. as a result of that, many people do not fully understand the topic once it has been taught finished. we needed to go home and study and everything, before we understand.
so the old system worked well for us.
but now in RP, it is important that we do every assignment and quiz properly, so that it can at least help pull our grades when we flung the common test.
sometimes, it is not because we are lazy and want to copy. but it is because we are afraid to make mistakes.
face it, this is a practical world. marks mean a lot in school.
the fact that i have seen a mugger copy assignment before says a lot.
i have to add in that i DO NOT copy a lot, and that RP is NOT a bad programme, as i have said so many times. it just needs some fine-tuning.
but has RP sub-consciously, in a way, made copying a necessity instead of an option?
i certainly hope not.
